Korea
This proud and industrious nation is connected to mainland China opposite Japan. A mountanious country with stunning scenery, Korea also boasts magnificent sights, temples and architecture.
A quarter of Korea's population lives in the capital city of Seoul which is a modern city home to great shopping, art galleries and musuems. One of the most popular places for visitors is Seoul Tower, the symbol of Seoul, aswell as the many department stores, parks, cafes and restaurants. Major drawcards are the Palaces - Gyeoongbokgung and Deoksugung, both places are worth a visit as well as walking around their surrounding areas. Most importantly enjoy the Korean cuisine, it's a real bonus to look forward to.
Most visitors spend a few days experiencing the city of Seoul. Our specially designed stopover packages cover the best of Seoul and include all accommodation with daily breakfast, airport transfers and sightseeing with a local English speaking guide - making it easy and saving you money.
In addition to this we can add extra days. A popular day tour is the DMZ Tour which takes you out to the border between South Korea and the communist led North Korea. This is one of the most unusual tourist destinations in the world. This visit is a real eye opening experience and it will leave you with a dramatic sense of the tremendous tragedy of seperated families, the division of the peninsular and the hopes of reunification.
If you are thinking of staying in Korea for longer than just a few days, perhaps consider going over to
Jeju Island.
This is the largest Island in Korea and is rightfully known as the "Emerald Island of Asia" and is also called the "Island of Gods". It is indeed a mystical place, full of strange rock formations, volcanic craters and otherwordly caves.
